Hello all. Name changed.
So I need some advice please.
We have 4 dc. We rent a house which is a 5 minute walk from the school. 3dc go here. We 2 do and the 3rd just got accepted to start on September. All good.
But... our tenancy is coming up for renewal and my dhs business which I also work for is a half an hour drive away. He owns the business and it is going well. We are considering moving there and looking at a rental property tomorrow. I really like the layout of the house and it's a 10 minute drive from work and 2 primary schools a 10 minute walk away. Brilliant. Except they are both over subscribed. I can drive the others back to their primary everyday which kind of defeats the object of moving.
Now the other problem is the year my youngest starts primary is the year we apply for secondary for my eldest. We really want them to go to secondary in the new town as they are drastically better than current town.
Also if we move now and can't get spaces for 3 do in New primary our youngest won't get a place in the old school as too far away.
So in your opinions, do we move now and hope to get them into the local primaries but they will be able to go to secondary there and see their dad more as he will be available to do school runs and pop home more.
Or do we wait until youngest starts same primary and then move between her starting and eldest applying for secondary....
I also love the house we are looking at tomorrow. Our current house is fine. But the garden isn't great and takes a lot of maintenance and Is not kid friendly so they don't like playing out much.
Sorry that was really long. And we are both town and need some advice before we make the wrong decision
