Lockdown has been tough, it's not a competition and I know some young people will suffer the consequences for a long time but ...

Lockdown is easing, spring is here and I'd love to hear how your youngsters are embracing it.

My DD(16) is studying for exams - you know the GCSE exams that were cancelled but, in view of the lack of Government guidance, her school are doing their own exams - loads of them! She's not academic but giving it her best shot.

Back doing her sport with her team mates after a year Zoom training.

She starts a pot washing job next month after dozens of knockbacks!

Meeting up with a friend or two for a coffee and making lots of plans for trips and festivals in the future.

This pandemic won't defeat or define them.

Id say meeting their pals indoors in a pub or nightclub, just being able to get out at night inside somewhere where everyone is young like them eg. Not sitting with your mum and dad watching telly...

My DS11 is loving being back at football and DD13 is enjoying seeing friends out of school and Primark! We are all loving being able to go back to the theme parks, currently on our sixth visit since they reopened Monday (had to sit yesterday out due to footie)

Going back to college in September. He also started a football club so is keen to grow that. Trying to get a part time job and just wants to get out if the house a lot more with his mates . Even though he loves his mum 😂

Ds16- getting his controlled assessments (GCSE alternatives) over with, which to his credit he is revising for. Meeting with his friends for long bike rides. Walks across the mountain. Going to the gym

Ds20- his finals at university. Starting to apply for jobs. Meeting up with friends. Concerts. Air soft. His girlfriend. The gym.

Some of these have started but others like the gym we are still looking forward too.

DD 18 - finally being able to take driving lessons - and buy her mum a pint!

DD16 - being able to see her mates and start driving (17 in summer) - and visit uni!

DD12 - being in school with more than 9 other kids - she wants to mix with her year group
