Just returned from a dog walk...we use a large playing field locally in quite an out of the way location. There's usually a few dog walkers around, sometimes kids playing a game of football early. There's a 'no golf' sign up as you enter the park.
This morning there was a bloke in full golfing regalia who'd set himself up right in the middle of the field thwacking golf balls full pelt all over the place, had a big bag of them and there were balls everywhere. He was hitting them the length of a football pitch and 30/40 feet in the air, so this wasn't gentle putting!
Meant that myself and the other dog walker there (who I know is quite elderly) had to skulk around the edges of the field, hoping not to get hit.
He was a big chap and looked pretty entitled and self important so I wasn't about to confront him. I did get his car reg though - would 101 (or anyone?) be interested?!
I'm usually pretty live and let live but this was just breathtakingly selfish with no thought for others at all - what if he hits someone?
