... that now makes you feel excitement or joy?

I’m finding, as more opens up, that I find happiness in so many small and commonplace things I didn’t appreciate before.

Going on the train
Going out for a coffee
Chatting in a queue or doctors waiting room
Shaking hands

I agree about public transport. Found it so boring before but I will be taking a train soon for the first time in over a year (used to be several times a week) and I am excited!

I used to hate driving kids to their sports clubs etc. Now I can't wait to be in a cold field making idle chit chat with other parents.

I have a tube station a few minutes from my house. Today I will be taking my first tube train in about 6 months! DD and I are going to B&Q and the big Asda home store. We are as excited as if we were going on a foreign holiday!

Living in Italy, most people have been confined to movement only within their own towns for the last 6 months. My town has 8,000 people, it's tiny. I work from home but I had to go into work in the next town and used it as an excuse to go to the supermarket. So basically my commute to work and food shopping. I felt like a prisoner on parole! Freedom!
