West End shows

AIBU to expect a decent size orchestra / band in a West End show?
I've just read that Phantom is halving it's orchestra when it returns. Les Mis has done this in the past as well.
Given that prices for these shows can be £100+, and a London opera orchestra is 100+ musicians, AIBU to be disappointed I'm only going to hear 14 musicians in a musical like Phantom or Les Mis?

It isn't great for the musicians either. I'm glad that the arts got so much recognition after Covid started. If it's a case of half, or nothing (because of production costs) then fair enough, but I think public appeals should be done for funding. Look at the money thrown at Notre Dame. I've got outstanding tickets for Phantom. For me it also means a night stay and travel costs, so even the cheaper tickets cost me a lot.
