Zoom job interview

I had a scheduled job interview via zoom at 2PM and have been set up and ready waiting since 1.55pm as yet the interviewer hasn't started the meeting.
I've tried calling the office to see if there is an issue, but I'm not getting any answer now I'm not sure what to do. It isn't very professional is it?

Wow that's really poor of them. But lucky escape. Can you imagine what it would be like to work with them if they're this unprofessional for interviews

I had this too. I was sat in the virtual meeting for half an hour past the scheduled time and when I called the office the interviewer said she had got me mixed up with someone with the same first name who had cancelled!
Interview was rescheduled, but it is no laughing matter when you have prepared and made arrangements. I was not offered the job and think I probably had a lucky escape.
@HumunaHey No I still haven't heard anything back yet and I'm guessing I won't.

I won't be chasing them and I suppose I did get a lucky escape, if this is how they conduct themselves at the interview stage.
Definitely a lucky escape! Such time wasters.

Did you ever find out what happened OP?

Xboxstolemychildren · 24/04/2021 11:33

@kickergoes no I've heard absolutely nothing.

How unbelievably rude!!!

Xboxstolemychildren · 24/04/2021 11:39

I agree. Its actually knocked my confidence a bit as I'm so desperate to get back to work and have applied for at least 50 jobs this week.

Oh don't let it knock it, it's all on them and nothing personal to you at all. Good luck in your search, remember finding a job is as much about finding what works for you as it is about them picking you, and it sounds like you had a bloody lucky escape from them though I know it might not feel like that yet. Job hunting is gruelling, keep your head up, the right employer who will appreciate you will come along.
