to think Lex is obviously a supervillain’s name

Reading up on the Greensill affair and it seems to me that anyone named “Lex Greensill” was always going to end up embroiled in a high-profile corruption scandal one day, splashed across headlines. It would have been too much of a wasted opportunity if he’d ended up as an anonymous kind-hearted nurse, or managing a small organic herb farm.

(Apologies if you have a tiny innocent baby Lex, no doubt he will be the exception that proves the rule)

Yep, you call a kid that, what do you expect?!

I taught a Lex once. He was absolutely lovely, but every time I read his name on the register I internally shouted “supervillain”.

LeviAckerman · 15/04/2021 13:04

Yup.
My DS tried it out as a nickname but we decided that as he didn’t have a hollowed out volcano as a secret lair it just wasn’t going to work.

If you say Lex, I'm saying Luther! Supervillian to the core!

araiwa · 15/04/2021 13:36

Lex fridman is possibly a robot

Am I the only one who thinks of the 90's Sci-fi show instead of Lex Luthor? I like Sci-fi type names for kids. My DS is named after a space ship Grin

My DS is named after a space ship

Is it Serenity? NCC1701-D? Grin(secretly envious your DS has a cool name)
