I get very stabby pains in my chest area whenever I lay down. To the point I need to flip over to stop them. I also get palpitations frequently.

I have been to the GP and he said it’s anxiety related, but I’m very breathless when walking (told him this) and the pains are not dripping even with anxiety medication.

Do I go back? And ask for investigation? It is making me anxious!

Maybe go back and ask for an ecg. It literally takes a few mins and if anything concerning is raises the gp can refer you on

I went recently as I was Expedia wheeze when I lay a certain way. It was just by chance the gp decided to do an ecg along with blood pressure etc. I was referred to cardiology and turns out I've got a condition called wolf Parkinson white syndrome. I was born with it! I'm 44 now and it's gone undetected all this time

*experiencing a wheeze. Not Expedia lol

Go back, ask for a blood test and an ecg.

Definitely get tests done but a hiatus hernia and inflammation can also cause this.
