I have a 1970s garage which is Not Very Nice. The side wall visible to neighbours consists of 16 concrete panels. it's dirty (till recently my kids played football against it) and ugly.

Do I need to
-wash?
-brush?
-seal/use undercoat?

What kind of paint should I use please?

It doesn't have to last forever as ultimately the garage Has To Go (abestos roof aint going to be improved by a coat of white paint on the side....)

We painted a similar structure with outdoor masonry paint and it lasted years

Clean it as best you can and then paint when dry with Sandtex Exterior Masonry paint

If you have a pressure washer give it a once over with that, then it can be painted using masonry paint.

If you don't have a pressure washer then giving it a scrub with a broom is good then paint with masonry paint.

In both cases you may need more than one coat of paint to get an even finish. Masonry paint does come in colours other than white which might be better if the kids are kicking a football at it.

I use masonry paint (sandtex is the best. I used textured but they do a smooth version too).
I used a roller, with a brush for any stippling or getting into cracks/holes etc
