To think that women under 50 should not have any adenovirus vaccines

Based on the AZ and Jansen issues and the highest percentage of cases being in women under 50.

At the moment they are just excluding under 30s but women in the 30-50 population seem to also be a higher risk.

But it's about % chance. Usual chance I believe of getting such a clot..1 in 1 million. Now 1 in 600,000. Chances of dying of vivid given 70million population and 127,000 deaths = 1814 in a million chance of death

Women aged 30-50 make up a gigantic proportion of healthcare workers / key workers though. The risks of vaccination compared to covid itself are infinitesimal. No one said vaccination would be risk free but as someone who has experienced both covid-19 and the AZ vac, I know which I prefer.

Your maths is totally screwed.
A 20 year old slim woman has a totally different risk to that of a 80 year old overweight man.
You can’t just divide the 70 million population like that!
We don’t know the risk of these vaccines because we don’t have the figures for how many women under 50 have had these vaccines! Until we know how many women under 50 have has the AZ versus how many women under 50 have had these problems, you can’t do the maths or work out the risk!
Every country has different figures for this because they have vaccinated different ages first!

There’s no sex-specific link for the AZ vaccine (more women had clots in proportion to the fact that more women were vaccinated).

No, I don't think so. The risk of the CVST + low platelet thing is so low. The risk of Covid (whether that is of long-term complications, or serious illness) is great and much more likely that CVST at least for anyone over the age of 30.
