"Kate could act as peacemaker between Harry and William on the day of Prince Philip's funeral"

Ignoring the royalty element of this and any speculation about causes of the falling out - AIBU that it always falls upon the woman to be the peacemaker in these situation?
And is it not a really uncomfortable thing to feel obliged to do? Do you think this is beyond the "call of duty" which Catherine signed up to?

Agreed! Very weird suggestion. A peacemaker should be someone with an equal relationship to each person anyway, so a parent if it’s between siblings for example.

I honestly don’t think this is a feminist issue. There have been a lot of famous male peacemakers.

I think on the day of his funeral they'll have other things on their mind and will be perfectly civil. They aren't going to have an argument in the service!

Who ever said that is a numpty.

Why should women be expected to do the emotional lifting.

Just say no, Kate. #Zammo
