Asda online shopping - is it always this bad?

Hi all. Usually get my shop delivered with Tesco each week and have done for at least 3-4 years. I pay for a delivery saver and never had any massive problems with them! I do highly rate them but the selection in my local store they pick from isn’t great and not much variety.

Occasionally I use Asda. Never highly rated their service but they do have more choice than Tesco here. I’ve had late deliveries, double charges etc with Asda. Again I’ve only ever used them occasionally when I’ve fancied a change.

Soo! Got a very large shop delivered by Asda last evening (£150 as needed quite a bit I wouldn’t normally buy)!Had items out of date yesterday, items out of date today - I’m talking meats, ham, picnic foods and other fresh produce etc. We can’t eat it all in one day - it was meant to last a week. Ofc I can put it in the freezer but not much room in there. Fruit and veg they picked that is already on the turn. Lots of substitutions too!

Is Asda always this bad? With Tesco they’ve always said if items have a short life and he’s usually 2 days ish - not the same day.

Feels like Asda have just gave me the dregs - stuff they would have reduced in the store

Aibu to complain? Not usually the complaining type tbh. But would you in this instance?

Is Asda always this bad or just bad luck locally to me?

I use Asda about 2 or 3 times a month. Rarely get no subs, but usually only one or two. I would definitely complain about the dates though, they do usually refund quite quickly
