To be chain smoking over a remote Reno

Hello there
I'm trying to do a interior renovation on a 2 story semi detached house (a rental we've got a mortgage on) in another (usually cold and dark) country after it had been completed trashed and to cut a long complicated story short it's a balls up, lots of expensive previously undiscovered issues and it's becoming a remote nightmare. Too expensive paint was picked (stupidly by me), communication issues and I'm not even sure it will all work together because I can't see it. Rooms are small. I can return the paint.

House has been under coated and wooden doors and trim prepared for painting but I now have to pivot.

Can anyone with a bit of experience please advise:

  • A light paint (neutral or one of those that would look good and both ceilings and walls (to save labour/time costs). Is this crazy?
  • A paint to match for the trim and doors?
And what finishes? Eggshell on walls and satin on woodwork??? I'm looking at Crown or Dulux. Something that will be easy to match carpet to. I don't want to go pure white or gray or yellow.

Any help greatly appreciated! Ps I'm aware I'm a) a bit of an eejit, and b) there are more important things in the world right now, so be kind please.

Dulux Timeless silk finish I prefer a white ceiling. I’d just gloss white the paintwork.

We've used Egyptian Cotton by Duluth for similar. White ceilings, eggshell white paintwork and Egyptian Cotton everywhere.
