To have not taken the DC out out apart from walks to the park

I know things are opening today, but and I looked online to book a few places, but the cost and time limits and set arrival times were too much for me, I dithered and they sold out 😬. Mainly the cost is so much, even with just one parent going. So my Dc get more walks to the cold park. We managed to meet up with one friend and hopefully another tomorrow. I know it's ok, it's healthy to get fresh air each day, but it's nothing memorable is it? I wish we could of afforded a change of scenery.

Well if budget doesn't allow then budget doesn't allow. Park is fine, fresh air and a run around with friends even better.
Take snacks too, if you don't already, make an outing out of it.

Chin up, save up for summer big days out.

You don't need to save up for summer big days out. Looks don't need expensive 'days outs' especially when they mostly involve queuing and crowds and waiting around which is no fun at the best of times and worse during a time if restrictions. Just enjoy being able to go out and about again. Everything seems exciting after a year of staying in.

We're allowed within our county finally today, having been restricted to 5km since Christmas - so I took my kids to the (cold, windy) beach on the other side of the county to home after school. I really wanted to get out somewhere else, somewhere different to where we've been 100 times, but also didn't want to spend money (since it was only going to be for an hour anyway)

We have been able to go out the whole time though, for walks and we have. Ok first part of lockdown last year the parks shut in England, but otherwise they have been open. So I just feel like I need to do something different. A bit too much of a cold wind at the moment for the beach although I do miss it loads ( I have a 1 year old too)

I thought stay local ended on the 12th April .. but I guess different areas are different.
