to include discounts in hamper

My friend (Emily) and I are putting together a hamper for another friend (Jane). Emily ordered some things to my address and I sent her photos of them and how I'm packing the hamper. One of them arrived with a promotional postcard giving a 10% off discount code, which I had placed in the hamper with the item. Emily says it is tacky to include this. I think Jane might want to buy more from there if she likes the product and there is no harm in putting in it. It's a high-end type shop so the postcard matches that!

To be clear - Emily definitely does not want to use the discount herself, and even if she did, it looks like one of those ones you could use multiple times, so this is definitely not the issue.

So AIBU unreasonable to want to include it?

Just wondering what others think - obviously I will discuss more with Emily and we will come to an agreement either way - I'm not going behind her back or anything!

You may find that if your friend likes the products and wants to buy more, then as soon as she goes onto the website, she’ll probably be offered a discount anyway
I’d leave it out.

I'd put it in, certainly don't think it's tacky.

I wouldn't include it. I don't think it's a gift as such.
If you do include it perhaps put it to the back or underneath other items that are actually a gift.
