Just that really. Does anyone else use Vinted? I think it was programmed by a bunch of rabid monkeys. The concept is great but everything else about it is such utter crap. From the glitchy software to the buyer protection.

I bought a Bundle of girls used clothes on there listed as brand new or great condition and I swear to God it's been fished out of the rejects bin from.behind Oxfam. Can I get I refund? No. You pay for buyer protection but honestly Hilter has better chances of getting into Heaven and making the saint list than I have of getting my cash back.
I was told I have to post it back but the seller has to tell me her address with 48 hours. It's been three days and all I get from Vinted is that they are looking into it.

It wasnt a lot of money thank God. Anyone else use Vinted? This was my fourth purchase and while I haven't received some items off Ebay, or some might have been a bit iffy I have always had my money back. Plus the worse Ebay item was fag smelling dress up kids outfit covering food. At least I could wash that. Vinted experience was a kids dress listed as very good with both sleeves cut up with scissors to extend its life presumably to make it fit years longer than was intended.

I can not wait for the shops to reopen and see the actual things you are buying again

I’ve sold quite a bit. Just ordered a few things. It’s like everything, there is an element of risk but the stuff I sold was beautiful.

ConeHat · 06/04/2021 21:57

Ebay has two layers of buyer protection but vinted has none it seems.

You pay for the buyer protection but then they dont do things within the set timeframe. I have bought a few things with no issues but unless they refund it's not worth the risk as scammers will cotton on to that eventually.

People go on about the amazing clothes they’ve got from eBay etc. I’ve only ever had absolute shite.

StoneofDestiny · 06/04/2021 22:32

I've sold a few things (all excellent quality) and had very positive feedback from my purchasers.

Lemmeout · 06/04/2021 22:36

You lost me Hitler... seriously stupid comparion

RubyWooRed · 06/04/2021 22:41

I’ve used Vinted for years
It’s generally very good
The customer service is excellent
I’ve had refunds via Vinted customer service for postage etc
If this is only one bundle you have had a bad experience with then it’s pretty shitty of you to try to trash a full site
I’ve bought and sold over 350 items so far on Vinted and mostly been happy
Do you know / are you aware of how to contact their help function ?

ButIcantsitonleather · 06/04/2021 22:42

I’m always surprised by how people overprice their filthy old shoes on there. Shock

I'm not. Is this a genuine statement? Wink
mooonstone · 06/04/2021 22:45

Vinted has been around for years hasn’t it? I remember it was shit from day 1, which is why it never became as popular as Depop

Itsallbull · 06/04/2021 22:46

Oh it's absolutely shit. Shocking site

mooonstone · 06/04/2021 22:47

I meant from a seller perspective btw, I never really buy from auctions/private sellers l

ConeHat · 07/04/2021 00:50

I have brought four things and the fourth thing was shit, so on balance I think it's a pretty valid conclusion it's a shit site.

Yes I have contacted the customer services for a refund, why wouldnt I? I states the seller has to give me a return address within 48 hours but when they didnt, I just got a standard message that Vinted was looking into it. So they dont do as state on their protection policy. So I stand by my statement that it's a load of old shite.

If they are like FB market place and you take your chances that's fair enough but they are selling the site with protection.

I have bought thousands of things off Ebay and when something goes wrong they do as they say they will. So Ebay isnt shit, they have some shot sellers. That's not my experience with Vinted. One shit sellers doesnt make it shit. Not refunding me within their stated time frame makes it shit.

I speak from experience
They have owed me £400 ( withdrew to bank but never arrived )for the last month and the customer service is purley there to block , delay and shift blame. Email [email protected] . He is in PR and in charge for promation and maintaing Vinted good reputation.
God knows what he's been doing
Email him with your problem. Get him to do his job !

thebear1 · 29/07/2022 22:44

After two bad experiences as a buyer I have given up on the site. Errors caused by seller sending wrong item was a huge faff to sort out and am still out of pocket.

Audioslaw · 29/07/2022 22:50

I've only used it as a buyer so far and had really good experiences. However I was planning on starting to sell so if it isn't good I'll have a rethink.

LoveLarry · 29/07/2022 22:54

I've only sold on Vinted.

My clothes have all been clean and exactly as described

I've had no issue

Garysparrowsthirdwife · 29/07/2022 23:03

For some reason I can’t buy anything
i get as far as putting in my card details and can’t get any further
I gave up-eBay all the way in this house

Clevs · 29/07/2022 23:03

I'm fairly new to Vinted and not had any real issues yet. They did piss me off earlier this week though when I listed two identical items. They deleted one because apparently I have to list them as a bundle and not separately? Vinted shouldn't dictate whether I sell them separately or as a bundle, it should be up to me. I listed two other identical items at the same time but they seem to have missed those (and alive since sold them separately!).

GlitteryGreen · 29/07/2022 23:08

I use Vinted, have only ever bought though and not had any problems yet beyond the inevitable not fitting into the clothes due to not being able to try them on first.

That said, I probably wouldn't invest in anything expensive on there as I'm not sure how much I trust it. I've only ever bought fairly low value items.

DIYandEatCake · 29/07/2022 23:11

I’ve only had good experiences with Vinted so far - bought some great work clothes and things for the kids, and started selling a few things too. I like the app, the whole process is really easy. I’ve had two items not as described (stained/damaged) but both times I was given a refund quickly and the seller was apologetic.

DeusInAbsentia · 29/07/2022 23:18

Only good here too buying and selling.
Ive had so many bargains as well over the last twelve months. It’s great, I get to chop and change clothing and sell what I don’t wear. Recycling at its best.

Ilovetheseboots · 29/07/2022 23:19

I’ve bought around 25 items over the last year and only 1 item had a large pen mark so I did get a refund, I only buy clothes with tags on and never more that £10, only pain is when they don’t fit. Have also sold a few items again no problems. Find it all really easy to use.

Google paper plates and Vinted. They're full of scammers at the moment.
