Presents at Easter

I've seen quite a few parents post images on social media of their Easter treats but they seem to be getting more and more extravagant!?

One person I saw has a toddler who had all of their gifts lined up on the sofa (god knows why 🙄) it included multiple chocolate eggs and bunnies, books, comics, hot wheels cars etc.

Am I miserable or is this OTT? And is it not just ridiculous to bunch all of the gifts together and take a photo for social media? Confused

It's been a shit year and people want to treat their kids but I personally wouldn't do that for my children, I hope they don't expect it when their old enough either!

Never heard of the concept of Easter presents till on here a couple of years ago. Never seen anyone on Facebook do it either thank goodness.

DC got an egg each from us and one each from one set of GPs (would have been both sets I expect if my parents lived nearer) plus a few more small ones we hid in the garden

Easter presents is just weird to me.

It would be OTT for me and I couldn't be arsed getting into giving gifts instead of eggs.

I love Easter partly because it is 4 days of holiday with none of the Christmas traditions pressure. Live and let live and all that but gift giving at Easter is simply not for me.

My family have always given gifts at Easter. For 40 odd years. My children had new pjs, socks, jumper and a new book.
I don’t buy them eggs. Grandparents do and they end up with plenty of chocolate to keep them going.
