Child arrangements for child with ASD

Anyone single parents here with a child with ASD or suspected ASD? If so what does contact with your ex look like ? And what it court ordered?

What contact does he want?

Mine see their dad once or twice a month for a few hours. His choice. I have 2 asd boys and a neurotypical girl. The eldest boy is 15 and doesn't see his dad any more (His own choice).

My child has ASD, contact was no different to what it would have been if he hadn’t had ASD. It was mostly every other weekend and a visit in the week after school, but we were flexible.

And I'm assuming all of your children coped well with these arrangements. Well ex wants eow but DC won't allow him to do anything as ex was never really involved at all.. to be honest not really much of a bond there at all. Was just wondering how everyones children coped with the changes as I don't know if eow would be too infrequently. I was thinking little and often. Like every week with an overnight eow so I can still have quality time too. Weekday contact isn't possible due to distance.

My ex is absent, he dips in and out when he can be bothered once a year and yes it does affect dd. He also only wanted to see them twice a month for a few hours (no over nights) which I didn’t think was enough but you can’t make someone see them more than they want to

If my ex ever bothers to ask for contact with our ASD son I will have to have a rethink. Original plan was supervised (for other reasons) but he now hasn't seen him in a long time so I have no idea how DS would cope.
