Shall I send my daughter to state school or an independent school in Hendon?

My son studies at northlondongrammar.com and I am actually happy. My daughter is starting the secondary level soon. Shall I send her to the same school, which I have to pay, or to a state school, which is free?

Have a look forward the Education section, and the Secondary Education board.

But unless you want your daughter to be a second class citizen within your family compared to her brother - then of course you pay for her what you would pay for him.

If you’ve got lots of other info to justify it (friends, she doesn’t want to go, the state is actually a girl’s grammar with better results, son has a special need that only his school can support, blah blah blah...) then I suggest you include that when you repost so people can actually advise.

Well, personally I don't think private education is worth the investment, but if you're already paying for your son, I'm not sure why you'd do it differently for a daughter?

You need to give more information OP.

Why wouldn’t you send her - is it because there are better state girls options than boys, or because she’s suited to state grammar or she isn’t??

Send her to private school. No question about it.

The same for both, unless there are reasons why different would be better for your DD.

Private for sure. Why wouldn't you?
