A jacket which is warm but looks acceptable to wear in summer

I live in Scotland so we don’t get hot summers but I’ve came to the conclusion that I am very, very cold compared to the average person. I would never leave the house without a jacket even on a hot day as I hate the feeling of being cold. I would rather be too hot than too cold.

I have been teased for wearing jackets that look inappropriate for the weather and so this summer I want to wear a light jacket which won’t have people looking at me weirdly but which is unexpectedly warm.

I wear thermals underneath tops when I can but honestly even with that the breeze makes me too cold to stand without a jacket.

Any light but warms jackets?

I love my denim jacket that has a layer of sheepskin in for this type of situation!

I’d change tack slightly and get yourself a couple of light cashmere jumpers/sweaters/tops. They can provide the extra warmth and then you can wear a light summer jacket over.

I like to wear a denim jacket in the summer, or one of those waterfall jackets with rolled up sleeves, in khaki or blush pink
