I'm doing a 'politics, society and policy' course.

I'm in 3rd year and working on my dissertation.

My main topic is alcoholism. I wanted to let explore 'Did Covid 19 lockdown have a larger impact on alcoholics compared to general population of the UK.'

I'm so confused though. I'm obviously doing a qualitative research. I can't figure out what to include in my dissertation.

How about something more specific such as the impact of withdrawn/scaled down/moved online addiction support services due to pandemic?

Or the impact of alcohol being less available due to pub closures and shorter times when alcohol can be purchased in shops and supermarkets.

You’re not offending anyone. Don’t worry. Hope you got a bit of inspiration from some of the posts and you can put together a plan for how to proceed. Research is tough at the best of times never mind during a pandemic!
