Appropriate Easter present

We are a family of 6 with 4 dc between 7-13 yo
Haven't seen pil since last summer because Covid

Normally at Easter we spend time with them and do an egg hunt in the garden. Not possible this year/ they live too far away not to stay over.

They have sent us (without asking) 48 yes 4 dozen creme eggs.
Wtf are we meant to do with them all?!

Okay. I will get back in my box with the creme eggs

There was a deal for them on Amazon the other day, I was so tempted and there's only 2 of us!

Just ration them out, no one has to eat them all in in 1 day.

The kids don't have to eat them all in one day .

Egg hunt. DD has got a box of 12 instead of Easter egg to herself

It's a well known fact that every shop gets exactly 48 creme eggs and no more.

Man I wish your PILs were my PILs! 8 creme eggs is only one a day for a week and a day.

I hate creme eggs but I'd lay the hunt and let them eat a couple a week. It's nice of them 🤷‍♀️

I'm not sure if I've ever read about such a non-issue. Were you honestly, genuinely baffled as to what to do with 8 creme eggs each? Truly?

Egg hunt in the park. Expect some to get lost or found by others to reduce the amount yours have?
Bake a cake and take lots to PILs?

They probably thought they were ordering the mini ones you normally use for the hunt.

They obviously meant them for an extended EE hunt? Then maybe do some baking with the kids with the surplus?

I could eat that many in 20 minutes.
