This is a toy in my child's doctor play set.
But seriously, what on earth is this for.

I tried a google search without much help and my child is a real stickler for details so really wants to know.

Not a clue but I want to know the answer

I think it's supposed to be a clamp? Like you would use to stem blood flow from an artery or vein?
