@makesIlaugh

I'm a proofreader- and very embarrassed Blush I definitely agree!
I'd never get a job as a proofreader. I blame a speed reading course they ran at work about 30 years ago. I often have to go back when I realise something just doesn't make sense so I don't think speed reading actually speeds anything up.

I wonder if these courses are still a thing. I think the boss though we were going to double productivity if we could read faster but it was a job where accuracy was really important so it wasn't really helpful.

@An0n0n0n

Oh do sod off. AIBU to think anyone who wants or smokes themselves sick or uses transport which causes air pollution related illness should be refused nhs service. Stop being so bloody decisive and using AIBU to spread your opinions.

If you cant use AIBU properly you should be banned.

And anyone who can't read properly and tries to ram their knee-jerk responses down people's throats should also be banned, right?
billyt · 30/03/2021 11:36

I think that booster breaks should be mandatory as well Grin

midsomermurderess · 30/03/2021 11:37

For heaven sake, it's authoritarian nonsense, and you haven't even begun to try to address the many issues around forcing vaccination.

JSL52 · 30/03/2021 11:38

@WeMarchOn

READ IT AGAIN
😂 agreed !! 🌞✈️

For heaven's sake, can't you read?
Topseyt · 30/03/2021 11:39

Ha! Took me far too long to get it there. I can’t say I counted how many goes I had at reading it.

It just goes to show that you have to be very careful to read what is actually there rather than what you think is there.

I agree. Should be mandatory! 😃 I’ll take Greece, or the Caribbean. Or anywhere nice really.

MistressoftheDarkSide · 30/03/2021 11:40

It was the post early on about not wanting to be forced to Skeggy that really made me wonder - and what my brain did was assume that the poster had to make a horrifically long trip to a vaccine centre.......

Then reading the more destination focused ones - I think the Maldives were mentioned? made me really go eh????

whenthebellsring · 30/03/2021 11:40

Those talking about forced vaccinations though...how do you feel now? Grin

Meant those who agreed, thinking it said forced or mandatory vaccination.

Read it carefully. It took a number of us many goes.

Then come back. 😂

Have you addressed not reading the OP or indeed the rest of the thread?🤨
whenthebellsring · 30/03/2021 11:42

It definitely goes to show that often, people see what they want especially based on their filter/perception/current situation.

CorianderBee · 30/03/2021 11:42

No. I'm pro-vaccine, but I'm also pro-bodily autonomy.

KarensChoppyBob · 30/03/2021 11:42

Lol OP 👍🏻

Backtoreality1 · 30/03/2021 11:42

Yay - all in support of a mandatory vacation!!!!! Bring on teh sunbeds!

AudTheDeepMinded · 30/03/2021 11:43

I so want to post this on my FB as I have a full blown conspiracy theorist 'friend' who will be sent into a right froth if they misreads it, but I dare not engage with him at all about this, even as a joke.

CorianderBee · 30/03/2021 11:43

Oh, wait, yes I agree with mandatory vacations

AlCalavicci · 30/03/2021 11:43

Oh good lord that to way to long to click !

I will take mine in Greece please Grin

Topseyt · 30/03/2021 11:44

And another one! Nearly did it myself. 😂
PrudenceDictates · 30/03/2021 11:45

I need stronger coffee! I needed the spelt out explanation 😂🤣

So funny that some are still coming on outraged about the promotion of loss of bodily autonomy!

JoysexrenovationFingerFumble · 30/03/2021 11:45

@Mindblank

I get it, op! (Took me a while though...😂)
It took me FOREVER and I’m a professional proofreader Blush

One-track mind at the minute!

VettiyaIruken · 30/03/2021 11:45

This is really amusing .

Not the picture so much as the speed readers. 🤣

GooodMythicalMorning · 30/03/2021 11:46

Somewhere with a massive beach, blue skies and clear water and golden sand would be amaaazing. I keep putting beaches on youtube on my tv so I can daydream I'm there Blush

I mean forcing me on holiday would technically impact my bodily autonomy. But, they wouldn't have to try hard tbh
SchadenfreudePersonified · 30/03/2021 11:46

@WeMarchOn

READ IT AGAIN
READ THE STANDING ORDERS, JACKIE WEAVER!!! [ANGRY]

Bliddy awful suggestion.

I am strongly pro-vaccine, but NO WAY would I advocate forcibly vaccinating people.

However, I think that there will be instances where some people may be coerced because of the jobs they are in eg care home staff, because they are working with an very vulnerable client group, so I can imagine pressure will be put to bear on them - but they still have the right to refuse.
