Started a bit of novel wiring/creative writing recently - does anyone know of any reputable sites where you can post your work and get feedback from others?

Someone will come along with more useful sites I'm sure, but there are a couple of subreddits for this sort of thing

I don’t know if you’re allowed to post links on here but have you tried watt pad ?

eatsleepyogarepeat · 28/03/2021 21:24

@millionmilesaway thank you I will have a look
@kinkybutkind I haven't heard of WattPad so I will have a look at that too!

Have you looked for any local writers' groups?

eatsleepyogarepeat · 28/03/2021 21:39

@deeplymovingexperience I haven't - I'm completely new to it all! [smile} - is it best to approach them directly or through something like facebook?

You can often find them on facebook or google. There is also a creative writing section here on mumsnet. I guess just reach out and say hello and see what happens!

Scribophile does exactly that. You need to be prepared to critique others’ work as well. It’s very friendly and supportive. Good luck!

The writer community on Instagram is great. I only know of one @charliauthor on Instagram who critiques/does edits etc.

The bookseller ABE has a forum. Someone on there will certainly know. In spite of being the US site it has a lot of UK people on it. The UK ABE site is a bit of a backwater.

If you write poetry, the Mum Poem Press have a lovely system where you can send something off each month and the network send each other feedback! Very supportive vibes.
