Where to buy interesting dining chairs?

I want some new dining chairs and would ideally like some with interesting nickle legs, like the one pictured, but in grey, and not leather. However I'm open to ideas and would be happy to be just directed to some online stores that sell stylish chairs (and not hugely overpriced - this one is £140 which is probably near my upper limit).

Any recommendations?

Do they have to be new? If not, I've seen some great mid-century modern chairs recently, in my quest for Ercol "Shaker" dining chairs.

Try Ebay, 1st Dibs, etc and auction houses, who aren't open but are doing online auctions.

Made.com are great for stylish dining chairs.

I don't want to sound like a misery guts, but those style of chairs are very uncomfortable. Ultimately, the purpose of a dining chair is to sit on, not decorative. Ensure you are 100% happy with the way they feel, the biggest house regrets tend to be when you compromise on function/comfort/ease of use for style. This isn't to say you can't get a stylish and comfortable chair, but I really hate those in particular, despite how elegant they look.

OP is that chair from Where Saints Go? If not then check them out as they have a very similar style. Rocket St George have a good range too.

I’m a bit obsessed with buying from auctions, John Pye auctions have a lot of returns from made.com, John Lewis and other big brands, obviously some is returned because it’s damaged etc but loads is just because people changed their minds or the packaging is missing/damaged and you can sometimes get an absolute bargain, I got a beautiful £600 cabinet for £25 a while ago, they seem to have a fair amount of dining chairs.

I’ll second 1st dibs and rocket st George, I’ve used lots of ideas from them studying int design. Cult furniture sometimes have some interesting bits and pieces, though they are slightly more geared to supplying commercial refits, they have always given me great customer service.

I get it, but try-before- you-buy is a distant memory in these Covid times. I will keep an eye on the returns policy though.
