Asda "extra special" and the like....

Anybody else think that these ranges aren't extra special at all and in most cases are actually especially crap?? Just sat down with a nice coffee and a slice of Asda extra special coffee and walnut cake. It's not something I do often I have to be in the mood for cake, but it's crap dry, bitter horrible tasting and when I think about it most of the "extra special" range I've bought has ended up in the bin.

No doubt somebody will be along to tell me my pallette is rubbish etc, but I know good food and this is not it!

I'm no fan of Asda so couldn't comment on that. Finest* (and what on earth is that asterisk for?) can be nice at times and Sains Taste the Difference is very hit and miss but I would recommend their coffee and walnut cake. The carrot cake, chocolate fudge cake and the Victoria sponge too Grin

Shame on us for eating nothing but dust and half a lettuce leaf Grin

For not eating, that should say!

YABU, Its very brand and item specific. But generally shop bought cake is dry and overly sweet!

Scones. Asda extra special scones are much better than their ordinary ones.
