Looking forward to restrictions easing to escape demanding family.(lighthearted)

I don't miss too much from my old life before covid but I am excited to get away from dm....think hyacinth bouquet!
Think snobby and never satisfied.DH too grumpy and unmotivated, everything is an effort.
I've done well to cope months with them with no escape except walking.
Anyone else excited to get away from their family when restrictions allow.?

I am excited to be able to meet friends for a coffee or some such, but also slightly apprehensive that MIL ( another Hyacinth - or maybe you are my SiL?) will expect us to do more with her.
She has a list of places she wants to visit and needs transport, so has a habit of inviting me along as driver. She thinks it will be ‘fun’. It’s bloody torture, that’s what it is.

😂😂 I think we dodged that bullet happytentoes.Dh was asked to repair her shed roof in Feb.When he didn't do it immediately she ordered to felt and paid a man and has been telling me ever since.
I guess we are out of favour.Phew!
