No, just no. I love marmite but really what were they thinking? Envy

My DS loves them, i dont mind them either

Shoppingwithmother · 26/03/2021 17:27

Have you actually tried them? Would you say “just no” to a marmite-flavoured cheesy roll? Because that’s all they are- it’s not like they have raisins and spices in.

fishonabicycle · 26/03/2021 17:28

They are lovely.

Yes I've tried them. They are truly vile.

They are beautiful

BigSandyBalls2015 · 26/03/2021 17:31

As are the chilli and cheese

ImReallyNotYouKnow · 26/03/2021 17:31

Oh no, they are amazing! Almost as good as the cheese and chilli ones.

EnjoyingTheArmoire · 26/03/2021 17:31

I hated them

WhatWouldPhyllisCraneDo · 26/03/2021 17:32

They are very tasty. But they are not hot cross buns.

Shoppingwithmother · 26/03/2021 17:33

Ok - your opinion is valid then!!

My DS loves marmite, but wouldn’t eat more than one bite of one either.

I love marmite too, and thought they were fine - nothing to get excited about though.

CuthbertDibbleandGrubb · 26/03/2021 17:33

Marmite on a toasted hot cross bun perhaps, but Marmite flavour, no thanks.

korawick12345 · 26/03/2021 17:34

They are amazing! Haven't been able to find the chilli cheese this year, are they around?

en0la · 26/03/2021 17:35

I love marmite and make cheese and marmite and sandwiches for lunch but the HCB's are weird.

OP posts:
Midlifephoenix · 26/03/2021 17:36

They might be great - haven't seen them - but I don't think I'd call them hot cross buns!

fishonabicycle · 26/03/2021 17:37

They taste pretty similar to cheese flavoured muffins. They obviously don't have fruit, cinnamon or sugar in them. Sigh.

RoomAtTheEndOfTheWorld · 26/03/2021 17:38

Oh I love them! A bakery near me does a cheese and marmite swirl thing (like a cinnamon swirl but savoury obviously) and they are the most heavenly thing.
So expensive though and always sold out by lunchtime. Envy The M&S hot cross buns have been a good alternative Grin

ReverendRicketyCricket · 26/03/2021 17:41

Have you tried the new Marmite hummous? So wrong but so so right. I could sit and demolish a whole tub with a spoon.

emmathedilemma · 26/03/2021 17:49

I'm sorry but other than the classic dried fruit and a bit of spice should not be allowed to be called a hot cross bun!

Parkandride · 26/03/2021 17:52

Theyre nice but they're just not a hot cross bun, there's no texture from inclusions so I wont buy them

Parkandride · 26/03/2021 17:53

*won't but them again

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 26/03/2021 18:06
