Does anyone else have local groups where people give away their old tat things they no longer use?
On the whole I think it's a good idea because one person's rubbish is another person's treasure and sometimes I'm amazed at the quality of stuff they just give away.
However, am I unreasonable to get really cross with the phrase 'it'll do someone a turn' when it's often dirty/broken/used to death/a screwed up rag? It seems so condescending to me. At least have the decency to wash it first!
