Looking up films for our family movie night tomorrow...youngest is only four so I started checking for any scary bits in the parents guide on the IMDb website. This has really given me the giggles tonight 🤣 m.imdb.com/title/tt5117670/parentalguide?ref_=m_tt_stry_pg

Could have been worse...because, well, y’know, rabbits.

Thanks for sharing btw. Made me smile too.

Well they are rabbits...

alibongo5 · 25/03/2021 23:52

Americans... bloody hell.

Seen the Peter Rabbit film a couple of times. had to click as was thinking WTF is sexual in there Confused Grin

A cockerel makes a reference to having 'fertilised all those eggs'

How rude lol

A male and female main character do one kiss

Shock Were they married? Won't somebody alert the church elders?!

I did have a peek at the imdb page. I haven't seen the film. Honestly baffled by this under "Sex & Nudity".

Benjamin complains of being "out of shape" and says afterwards "I only eat salad".

I mean, I've seen some dark corners of the internet but that is something I actually need explained to me.

It's fat-shaming. I'm not sure how I feel about this as it's clearly a joke and not meant to be taken seriously. But if I wanted to be triggered I could totally see a character who is already on a restrictive diet of only salad (although is that a restrictive diet for a rabbit vs a human?) being shamed for his weight.

Peter attempts to shove a carrot into the old Mr McGregor's behind.

🤣

There’s sex and nudity in Peter Rabbit😱 ! I mean I know it’s rabbits, known to be wee furry shaggers, but still.

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 26/03/2021 06:16

Well, image my horror when i saw this, I suppose everyone's cooking goes wrong at some point even Mary Berry's but...

Don't remember that carrot shoving scene from the books Confused

That’s great! It’s so Ned Flanders. Especially the warning that ‘damn’ is used twice - but it’s ‘not a profanity’ for the British, so maybe just the same as Heck.

Mypathtriedtokillme · 26/03/2021 07:00

There is no mentioning of the “murder”and pie creation of Peter’s Father.

I always find the American reviews on commonsense media amusing.
My oldest Dd (7) loves the movie Mune which contains 1 “damn” which should it’s unchristian values...

Mypathtriedtokillme · 26/03/2021 07:00

Shows not should damn it.

Whatafustercluck · 26/03/2021 07:05

The cockeral is my absolute favourite character of recent films. "I can't believe it! The sun came up again!" I was only doing an impression yesterday. 😂

CuthbertDibbleandGrubb · 26/03/2021 07:08

Mary Whitehouse's spirit is alive and well!!!

My kids yell “Dad dadda dad dadda” at DH all the time now which gives the normal “mum mum mum” a good break.
