To ask for choc tiffin with soft top recipe

Does anyone have a basic chocolate tiffin recipe but with a soft chocolate topping please?

If you put just melted chocolate on the top it sets really hard and cracks and doesn’t cut properly. Scoring it doesn’t solve the problem, still too hard. I want it soft enough to cut into with fork. I’ve seen it like this but don’t know how it’s done.

I've never seen this, you could make a ganache though

This but make the chocolate topping all DARK chocolate and add a couple of table spoons of golden syrup and a tablespoon of butter to that solid dark chocolate before melting over low heat in saucepan and slathering over top? Should make it softer?

Just add a teaspoon of veg oil to the bowl as the chocolate is melting.

Add a bit of butter to the chocolate, stops it setting solid

I'd just do chocolate icing (icing sugar and cocoa)

Make a ganache. That's chocolate melted into hot cream and sets like the consistency of the inside of a chocolate truffle.

I add a little cream to melted chocolate to soften it when baking for my Nan . Makes it easy to cut and eat . More cream = softer chocolate
