To throw out boxes?

I'm trying to tidy my garage and it's full of bloody boxes. They're for things like laptop, PC monitor, kettle, musical instrument, iphone etc. Do you keep them or chuck them?

Chuck them. What possible use are they?

XenoBitch · 23/03/2021 17:03

I keep them for a while in case I need to return an item.

Returnoftheowl · 23/03/2021 17:04

Assuming I'm not likely to need to send the item back I'd chuck them out... They take up so much space!

CathyorClaire · 23/03/2021 17:06

We keep them until we're sure we're not sending the goods back then chuck.

Standard recycling if they're smallish, recycle at dump if cave-like.

FrankskinnerscRoc · 23/03/2021 17:11

Yes, we keep them in the loft until the guarantee runs out, but only for very expensive stuff. Fold them flat if you want to keep them.

You can store stuff in them.
AlCalavicci · 23/03/2021 17:12

Like @XenoBitch i tend to keep them for a while but then fling them out unless they are particularly sturdy like the boxes my steel toe cap boots come in as they are tough and have a plasticky coating on them . so are useful for storing thing in

HandlebarLadyTash · 23/03/2021 17:20

If you are planning on selling anything in the future it is helpful to keep, otherwise get rid

ThatsNotTheTeaHunty · 23/03/2021 17:25

I Chuck all the boxes straight away even if I need to return it. It's faulty so why do they need box they aren't going to re sell it Grin.

MangoBiscuit · 23/03/2021 17:28

I keep my box for my PC case, because it has the packing in exactly the right shape. So if I need to move, my PC packs up as safely as possible.

Everything else gets thrown out after a month or so.

OK thank you! They're all going to the tip!
