I have no experience with changing nurseries with a toddler so just want ask how it was with others?

Was it easy to transition your toddler from one setting to another?

Mine will be going from a small setting a few hours a day, to a slightly larger setting, nearly full time. She's two years old. I was under the assumption that the transition would be relatively simple but maybe I'm BU and too laid back about it all?!

My DS cried when left and picked up for about 2-3 weeks (he goes 3 days a week). They have a webcam and he looked totally lost and just followed the nursery nurse around the room all day and stood at the door waiting for her every time she popped out. It was heartbreaking Sad

He seems fine now though. He was 16 months at the time so younger than yours.

No experience but I’d be interested in other peoples experiences as well. We’re just about to move our 3 year old from a large nursery 2 mornings a week to a smaller nursery 3 days a week. It took her quite some time to go into her current nursery happily each day, so I’m really anxious about her settling in at the new one.

My children moved nurseries twice in 3 months at the start of 2020.

And they were absolutely fine. They thrived in the one they are in now and they love it.

The first couple of days she may be a bit hesitant but honestly OP it will be fine. Kids are resilient Smile
