Exactly as the title suggests... did anything happen?

About a million at school where we all moved the glass and pretended to get scared! Grin

UrAWizHarry · 22/03/2021 10:55

Yes, the ideometer effect happened.

No,and I wouldn't.

ComtesseDeSpair · 22/03/2021 11:43

As a teenager, yes. And as previous posters say - somebody always moved the glass to freak everyone else out! And I think even then we all knew it was a load of hokum.

yes, loads when I was a teenager. We had lovely long chats with 'spirits', one who told us all about the way the world worked on the spirit plane. I've no doubt it was a collective unconscious phenomenon (we were all insufferable hippy kids into Carlos Casteneda, William Blake and Aldous Huxley) but it was an interesting at the time.

I am a sceptical and there is nothing that happened that I couldn't explain with science.

1st was the table cracking, and the woman freaking out (big drama mama style) because it happened each time she was putting her full weight on a tiny table. Later I tried myself and the table cracks when you give it a push (we were supposed to only delicately put down our fingers, not exercising any pressure)

Other times, I've seen the glass moving in circles thousands of time, but never spelling anything properly, because as a group you subconsciously agree about a simple shape with the power of suggestion of the ceremony master, more difficult to agree on a spelling

Had people mansplaining me it was the 'ghost power' that was making a dark, humid, dusty, probably with lots of fungus basement uncomfortable.
