I don't support the keeping of WMD's in any form. But think about recent defence review where the government has said they will allow more nuclear weapons to be built, expanding our arsenal by 40% got me thinking.

what's the difference between having 180 or 240 warheads if the goal is mutually assured destruction.

the cost is astronomical - yet we have cut our aid budget due to it being "unaffordable at this time"

does it make you feel safer and or more assured that the government takes our safety seriously?
I don't think it achieves anything other than make us look like a pathetic little country measuring our dick on an international level.
I'd be interested to hear of anyone agrees with it and why :)
