What would happen if you drank on metronidazole? I'm not going to, but my housemate says I'm being a bit stupid by staying tee total it's been 2 weeks and I have another 1 to go. I won't be drinking on it and i think it's time to find a new house share!

You will vomit. Metronidazole is the only antibiotic you really shouldn't drink on. It used to be used with alcoholics to help them stay off the drink. It will be unpleasant, I would really recommend staying the total until you have finished the course.

mate dont even sniff any acohol its that bad! i used a mouthwash that wasnt alcohol free, felt like i was dying...

Is your housemate spiteful or just stupid?

I drank on it, didn't vomit at the time or anything but I couldn't stop the next day, it was absolutely horrendous it was a bad hangover but a million times worse.
