I sold an item online and the woman is from America. I’ve never sent to America before but it cost me £32 to post - so I included this in the item price (converted to $) - the buyer sent me the money but PayPal put it on hold?! I’ve never had any disputes or complaints again my account and they’ve held a bigger amount before (handmade items for a business to sell on costing over £200 which the money got held so I was out of pocket for weeks as I had to fork out on materials and postage)
I’ve uploaded full tracking information but PayPal won’t release the funds until from a day AFTER delivery?!
Which means again, I’m left out of pocket paying the postage, sending a valuable(ish) item to America.
Surely once I’ve uploaded tracking information and have sent her buyer proof of postage I should have the funds? Nobody it’s for their milk after they’ve drank it, so why should I be left out of pocket and unpaid after selling the item?
PayPal were still quick to take a few from it before holding it though too!
I’m really annoyed, DH is in the process of changing jobs so we’ve had a hard couple of months including this one, we’ve not got any money until he starts his new job, hence why I’m trying to sell anything of any sort of value just so I can our food on the table for my family. But instead of being financially ok for another week or two I’ve had to use the very last of my money to spay out for it, and have to wait until a day after it’s delivered to America to get it back, or 21days.
AIBU in thinking once tracking is provided to PayPal and verified then they should release my funds?
