Anyone else watch his Comic Relief challenge last night- i blubbed through the whole thing. Amazing young man & amazing family. And he’s just raised over £2 million quid too.

Aibu to be blown away at how amazing he was- really emotional programme!

Yes and I blubbed!
What an incredible and inspiring young man, he had such a lovely supportive family and his coach/personal trainer was fabulous too.

Laughingstock91 · 19/03/2021 21:13

@HerLadySheep I think I cried solidly for the whole hour!! Yes, his coach was amazing too!

He is just amazing. What a young man!

Lurkingforawhile · 19/03/2021 21:17

I haven't seen it yet, just saw the clips on tonight's show. But whenever I've heard him speak or read an interview with him I think he's amazing, such a nice guy and so down to earth. Looking forward to watching the show about his challenge now.

Laughingstock91 · 19/03/2021 21:21

@Lurkingforawhile make sure you have plenty of tissues to hand 😭

Even my DP had a bit of dust in his eye! Well worth a watch, we donated after watching this last night

GrannieD · 19/03/2021 21:29

He's amazing. His parents should be so proud of him. They seem like a very close knit loving family

Lurkingforawhile · 19/03/2021 22:00

@laughingstock91 oh gosh, I cry at anything! Managed to get through most of Comic Relief tonight, except for Sunshine on Leith

CarolNoE · 19/03/2021 22:05

A documentary re his story was repeated in the last week or so, well worth a watch. They seem a really tight knit family

CarolNoE · 19/03/2021 22:07

His documentary is "Driven, the Billy Monger Story" by BBC3, from 2018 I believe. Maybe be on IPlayer as just watched it again recently.

CosmicComfort · 19/03/2021 22:15

We watched it tonight. What an incredible young man, it was so emotional. Such an incredible story.

I have dses of similar ages so felt overwhelmingly maternal watching it. What an amazing family.

Cottagepieandpeas · 20/03/2021 07:55

I didn’t see it and had never heard of him.
I just googled him, read a short article on BBC website...and cried!
Amazing determination and courage.

I'm a huge fan of all Motorsport and it has been so inspiring to see Billy go through his journey. He's back racing again too, and is damn quick even though it must be so much harder to control the car. Amazing lad.

Lurkingforawhile · 20/03/2021 11:55

Have just watched the programme and manged to keep it together until his mum arrived at Brands Hatch! Such an inspiring man, and actually really interesting to see what he had to do to relearn skills like cycling. Even made me like Jose Morinho a bit!

Who the hell is voting YABU?????

Laughingstock91 · 20/03/2021 12:31

Same. I really hope he manages to get the sponsorship to progress further, he bloody deserves it.
Rowgtfc72 · 20/03/2021 13:36

We follow btcc and Billy's always driven in the support races. Seen him at a few tracks.
Watched the race that he crashed in live on tv. It was absolutely horrendous.
Hes a very strong young man with an equally strong and supportive family around him.
He is a good driver and if he carries on with his racing will go a long way. He has a natural talent.
I wear my #billywizz t shirt with pride!

Cutesbabasmummy · 21/03/2021 08:56

@PoppityPop just what I was wondering!!
