I just wanted to warn parents about Listerine Smart rinse. My son used it for about two months and it caused terrible yellow/brown staining. We had to go to a Hygenist to remove it and it cost €80.00. Dentist said it was definitely Mouthwash as oral health was excellent
I complained to Johnson and Johnson and they said they were aware it caused staining but were not obligated to say this on the bottle as Mouthwash is a cosmetic rather than medical product. It does say on the back don't eat for 30 min after using (which we followed) but doesn't say it's because this reduces the risk of staining
I tried to put a review on Listerine website but they blocked it.
Just wanted to say it. I'm sure plenty have had a positive experience with it but just wanted to warn for those who see staining to stop using it.
