I don't know where else to post this but I know this will get attention.
If you have an abscess under your tooth in your gums, will antibiotics alone kill it off or will I have to have it drained or tooth removed etc??
Thanks in advance

Antibiotics will clear up the swelling and help to reduce pain. if there is a collection of pus (the swelling feels wobbly) this often needs lancing and draining.
One the painful infection is better the underlying reason for the infection needs treatment. This can be from the gum or the tooth so might need root canal treatment, extraction of the tooth or treatment for gum disease. If you just have antibiotics the infection will keep returning.
