Waist vs belly button measurement?

Just being nosy really and wondered what your waist vs belly button measurements are and what size you wear?

Mines 29 inch waist, 32 belly and wear a size 10 but also fit into my 10s when my belly was 34 albeit tightly! And when my belly is 31 inches my 10s are loose, so I’m intrigued to hear what people of similar sizes are!

When I was younger I had a 26 inch waist I would love to be that again!

27 & 29. I’m 5’6”. Don’t know what clothes size as everything comes up as silly sizing nowadays. Same size as I was in my 20s.

I’m hoping I’m menopausal - just 6 weeks left and then I’ll have completed my year period free.

Fingers crossed for you, but I went from about May 2020 to February 2021 period free and I thought that was it - I'm late 40s and had all the night sweats, hot flushes etc over the last few years, but they seem to be back now unfortunately.

@BarbaraofSeville I was wondering the same. Now I'm thinking I'm deformed because my belly button is where I consider my waist to be!

My waist is about 2 inches above my belly button!

Belly button is my waist level, so no difference in the measurements here.
Also interested in where waists are if not at belly button height, and wonders if this is why I cant wear dresses.

My waist and belly button are in the same place! Thought it was just me then.

Your waist is just the smallest part of your middle isn’t it? So I guess for some that would be their belly button, and for others not! I have no idea though, I’ve never bothered to measure the difference. I know that the smallest part of me is 26 inches and I’m a size 8 typically, size 6 in some dresses and coats, and a 10 in a couple of t shirts.

26 waist ...28 belly button/hip level .

Waist is also about an 1.5 inches higher than my belly button. ...I see most people here have them both on the same level...wondering now if I'm weird😆

I wear a size 10 at the bottom mostly now but sizing has changed beyond recognition since I was younger- in my 20s I weighed a stone and a half less than currently, had no more than a 27 inch waist but wore a size 12! In old sizes I reckon I'd be at least a 14-16 now.

Waist 27-28 inches. Belly button 30-31 inches. I bloat. Usually wear a size 10, but sizing varies so much. My issue is the size of my very generous thighs

I'm exactly the same - my waist and belly button measurement would be very different!

Isn’t your waist the narrowest part of your middle? Mine corresponds exactly with my belly button. That measurement is 28”. I don’t wear skirts of trousers around my waist though, that would feel uncomfortable. Mine straddle my hips. And my clothes generally range from a 0 to a 10 depending on where they come from and what fit they are.
