Over 40's vaccine

So looks like our County cocked up today and released the vaccine to over 40's. I booked mine. At lunchtime they stopped allowing appointment booking for under 50's. Pretty sure that it was an error releasing that age group. AIBU to still go or should I cancel and release my appointment for someone in an older category?

I'd go if I were you. I think at this point we're talking about a difference in weeks not months for over 40's. And all over 18's are going to get offered it within the next few months anyway.

Go. It'll be more faff for them to change it. The more people jabbed, the better for everyone. Lucky you!!

GrumpySausage · 15/03/2021 16:18

Nottinghamshire? I was wondering the same OP. A friend booked herself on this morning and is asking the same.

Personally I'd still go. One more vaccinated is one more closer to the target.

If it's Notts they've said it was a mistake but any appointments booked will go ahead

They've just released a statement on the Notts nhs Facebook site

I'm in the SE and a neighbour in their mid 40s (no underlying health condition) was invited to get their COVID vaccination this week.

Runnerduck34 · 15/03/2021 16:32

Id still go , its up to them to cancel it!

Dinnertime22 · 15/03/2021 16:34

Go. I am.

Ah that's good to hear. I'll pass that on to my friend.
NoGoodPunsLeft · 15/03/2021 16:52

I'd go, like PP have said the more people who have it the better.

Felifox · 15/03/2021 16:52

You booked your appointment properly so have the vaccination.

1Morewineplease · 15/03/2021 16:57

Go and get it OP... if you were wrongly called, it's not your problem.
Everyone will get it fairly soon anyway.

jackstini · 15/03/2021 18:24

I did same and I'm going for mine

It would be more hassle for the NHS if you cancel it & it will likely only make days difference anyway
