This is not really an aibu as such, just thought more people would see it here. I grew up in a pretty catholic community knowing from a young age I was gay. For years I was deeply unhappy having relationships with the opposite sex because i thought that's what i was meant to do. It took me a long time to accept myself for who I am and though I still consider myself a work in progress, I am feeling a lot happier and freer now.
I guess my message is that we are all amazing and worthy no matter our age, looks, sexual orientation, whether we have children or not etc. Everyone has value and a place in the world. I don't post this to sound cheesy (sorry if I do) but rather to hopefully empower people and to say that YOU are wonderful whoèver you are
