How do you cut a melon?

I love melon and it’s a great snack for helping with the weight loss but I buy one with good intentions and then can never be bothered to chop it up as it’s so fiddly. Any good hacks to make it easier? I cut it in half and scoop out the seeds (galia melon) then cut in half again and try and slice the melon away from the skin without cutting my hands.

You could try cutting it in half on its "equator". Saving one half, scoop the seeds out with a spoon and then use a teaspoon to scoop out balls of flesh. Only 1 cut required.

I do what my mum did and cut slices then leave the rind on and just eat it up to the rind.

Can be a bit messy if it's a very juicy melon but that's part of the fun.

Cut in half.
scoop seeds out.
Then cut into long semicircular slices that are THICK, so maybe only 3 slices from half a melon.

Then cut the slices so you end up with triangles with rind at the bottom.
You can eat them like that, or put them in a luch box. Because they are so short, you can hold the rind and eat them and don't get juice all over you face, easy to handle, you can easily cut the flesh off ir you woudl rather.

Cut the melon in half, half again, and maybe again if a big melon. Lie the slice on its side and you can cut the skin away from the melon in one cut, only pointing the knife down so minimal risk of cutting yourself. Place the cut melon back on the skin, and cut downwards into slices so the melon holds the small bits nicely.

I cut in half scoop out seeds then cut in half again, cut each half into three slices take each slice and cut across the flesh almost to the skin, hold over a bowl and cut along the flesh near to the skin and each chunk falls off leaving just the skin.

I cut a slice out like I would a birthday cake and scoop the seeds out of that then just eat it like that. Then I have a nearly whole melon with just one bit that needs covering up and it stays fresher longer.

Quarter it, then cut slices out of each quarter. See dodgy drawing.

I cut out in quarters, then slice it not quite to the rind, usually once lengthways and maybe five or six times widthways. Then I run the knife along the rind and cut off the melon chunks.

I cut melon into sticks. You use the rind bit to hold it and just eat up to it. Or if you want to be fancy you can always turn the sticks into cubes and remove the rind. I always prep either half or a whole melon at a time though otherwise, it ends up going off cause I can't be bothered to prep it when I actually want it.
