Is texting someone or else flirty?
In context it's opposite sex saying thought you where doing __ get it done or else ...

FortunesFave · 12/03/2021 22:55

Very little info here. It could be flirty from what you say yes.

fabnotflab · 12/03/2021 23:15

Sorry to explain more DH has said this to a female colleague .. who there has been inappropriate things said too and from before. The previous message have been deleted just the go and do .... or else
I honestly don't know if I'm over reacting time of the month or I am right in thinking that's abit flirtatious

OP posts:
MuddleMoo · 12/03/2021 23:16

Odd that stuff has been deleted

MuddleMoo · 12/03/2021 23:17

It depends what it is really I think. Not necessarily flirty.

dudsville · 12/03/2021 23:20

I must be misreading, it sounds like a weird threat, do something or else. Or else what? You'll tell my mother?

fabnotflab · 12/03/2021 23:20

@MuddleMoo

Odd that stuff has been deleted
I know I think that's why it's got me questioning it...
OP posts:
Alexandernevermind · 12/03/2021 23:22

I don't understand. What did the message say exactly?

PurpleDaisies · 12/03/2021 23:22

It depends.

“Put the bins out” Not flirty.
“I’d like to see you naked” Flirty.

I’d be suspicious about the deleted texts.

Notimeforaname · 12/03/2021 23:30

What did he say to do? I don't follow

activitythree · 12/03/2021 23:35

It's unprofessional at the very least

fabnotflab · 12/03/2021 23:36

It was along the lines of

She said .. you coming to help me with then something about work
Then he's said I thought you where doing ... go

get it done or else

I feel like now if re wrote it down it doesn't sound like anything it's the deleted messages then this text and the fact he doesn't really speak in this way that's made me think oh that's said in a flirty way asif he wants her to say or else what Wink

OP posts:
PurpleDaisies · 12/03/2021 23:38

It’s not flirty but it’s really threatening and not at all appropriate.

Ijustknowitstimetogo · 12/03/2021 23:41

Gosh. Another thread that is literally making no sense to me.

WhitePhantom · 12/03/2021 23:48

Can't follow this at all, but I'm guessing it's meant to say "thought you WERE doing..." because "thought you WHERE doing..." just makes no sense at all.

Is it meant to be funny? Or threatening? I can't see it as flirty.

FireflyRainbow · 12/03/2021 23:56

Not flirty op. More threatening. I assume he was trying to tell her to crack on and get it done but add a funny twist? Funny twist that reads a but threatening 🙈

GiveIrelandBackToTheIrish · 13/03/2021 00:33

I can see your point, depends on the tone of voice you read it in

DIshedUp · 13/03/2021 00:38

To be honest that sounds more threatening than flirty

dontgobaconmyheart · 13/03/2021 00:44

Depends on tone and you've not exactly typed any of it up so as to make sense OP, I don't think anyone can reliably say.

People don't hide things they don't think need hiding, ultimately. Or delete them.

JellyBabiesFan · 13/03/2021 03:10

Chicken salad if my choice even if its boring.

SummerWhisper · 13/03/2021 03:47

It sounds as though they are very familiar with each other, but you have stated that they have been inappropriate with each other in the past. It's faux threatening, jokey, overly-familiar and, coupled with their history, I think they are still close. And I agree, it's to elicit the cheeky "or else what?" How thrilling for them. What is your next move?

Aprilx · 13/03/2021 03:51

If you are going to repeat what was said, your thread is completely pointless, we can’t say whether something sounds flirty without knowing what the “something” is.
