Ok maybe I’m overreacting but I am starting to think that it’s ok for mums to come on here and chat as long as we stick to what brand of nappies we buy etc but we aren’t allowed to have an intelligent discussion between people with different viewpoints on anything vaguely interesting/topical/contentious? It’s very irritating. I understand the odd person might be offended by something, and I’m not saying that truly awful and nasty posts shouldn’t get deleted, but I don’t understand why whole threads, many of which contain nothing particularly provocative or problematic, are being removed. Up until today I have believed that the whole outrage over freedom of speech is just a manufactured crisis designed to draw people into far right conspiracy theories but today I am feeling that freedom of speech genuinely is under threat now. AIBU?
