Emails from solicitor

We are in the middle of buying a house. I have always had most of the communication with our solicitor, as DH is a teacher, while I work from home and can access emails, make calls etc, anytime. I was the one to engage him, and DH has not sent him any emails himself.

Whenever the solicitor emails us, he always sends the email to DH as the main recipient, with me in copy. To me this is sexist and rude, as I am the main communicator. AIBU to be really irritated by this?

@MRex - very true, but when I am sending an email with a lot of recipients as I often do, some end up in the CC line, although I will make a point of addressing this in my email as I wouldn't like it.assumed I find one person more important than another.

As above I am only speaking personally and going by how I do things

I also will not address any correspondence Dear Sir when sending to anotheraw firm/business etc as this is a throwback to when many partners/bosses were men...it is still common now.

I always address it as Dear All

The EA who sold a house for me did this repeatedly and despite me asking them to stop writing to DP at my address. They hadn't even met DP and he never once spoke to them.

I pointed it out umpteen times. The last was when they sent the request to do a trust pilot review of their service. Yep, addressed to DP, who hadn't dealt with them at all, and sent to my email address. Talk about an own goal. Otherwise great service marred by that and a much poorer review as a result. Confused

LOL at the idea that a secretary sends emails for a conveyancer.
