Any haematologists here?

Sorry, I know this isn’t an AIBU and I’m blatantly posting here for traffic, but I’m getting myself in a state and I thought this would be the easiest way to reach someone!

I am trying to conceive as a single woman through a clinic (IUI). I have a blood clotting disorder called factor V Leiden and was taking regular medication but have been swapped to heparin whilst I’m ttc/pregnant. I started to spot sat evening which would have been 11dpo, but then woke in the night with more blood and have continued since. Not quite as heavy as my normal period, but it’s getting more period-like as time goes on. If it wasn’t so early I would have assumed it’s my period, but I have never had such a short cycle since I started tracking last summer. If day one was Sunday, that would mean my last cycle was 24 days (usually 27 or 28).

So my question, do you know if either having my disorder or being on heparin can make implantation bleeding so heavy? At first I was excited thinking it was IB but the more it continues the more I worry it’s just a very early period. I know no one can say for sure, and I will keep monitoring it and testing (all bfn so far), but I wasn’t sure if this was a known thing to a haematologist (or if anyone has experienced similar). And I would contact my own consultant but when I ring it says they’re really busy and to only leave a message if it’s an emergency, otherwise call back at a later date. I know this isn’t particularly an emergency, so thought I’d turn to mumsnet for some advice instead Smile
