Cholesterol reducing drinks if I haven't had a cholesterol check

I want to start drinking an actimel type drink in the mornings. I bought some from Asda that were cheaper and also cholesterol lowering but on the back it says don't drink them unless you need to reduce your cholesterol. Should I drink them?

Also thinking of taking supplements, any recommendations?

My body shape, weight and activity levels are good, slim but short build always carry a bit extra on bum and thighs. I do have history of heart problems in the family. My diet it ok but I do eat everything. Healthy, non healthy, takeaway, homemade. All in moderation but I don't diet or deny myself any food groups

I dunno, if you bought something that said "do not use if you are pregnant" and you were pregnant, should you use it?
If you bought some aspirin and the packet said "do not give to children under 16 years old" should you give it to your 5 year old?

I'd suggest speaking to your doctor about it. You might be able to submit an electronic query.

I was of the thinking that reducing cholesterol would be a good thing but should see if it's right for me first
